AICE MS Test: Part 2 Question 2 Practice 1

Media products, especially in music, have been largely influenced by social media. Social media is a way to share, post, and like others posts. With that comes music, music can now be easily spread and shared throughout social media. There’s even now designated apps such as SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, etc where you can now easily listen to music with the tap of a button. People can also post songs on YouTube where it can blow up, same with Tik Tok or other platforms. This can largely affect someone’s career whether it be good or bad. Good examples of this can be Ricky Montgomery’s song Mr. Loverman, Heather, Touch You, LEMONS, etc. Now those are all examples of music that got influenced by Tik Tok by their audio blowing up. In the end helping out their music careers. Touch You actually ended up on Spotify’s Top 10 list placing at number 7 there. Before that they were actually higher if I’m correct. There’s other examples too, those are just the ones I’ve merely mentioned today. So yes, I do believe that social media has altered the way media products (music) is consumed.
